Responsibilities

Reporting to the Spa Manager or General Manager (depending on the location), the Spa Attendant assists in the success of the company by graciously ensuring that every spa client’s experience is flawless, consistent and five – star in a seamless fashion by conducting the following:

 

Client facing:

  • Prior to client’s arrival, prepare previous intake form for therapist to review and prepare new intake form for a first time client;
  • Prior to client’s visit, print “daily” and add any relative notations, i.e., client’s last visit and service, etc.;
  • Upon client arrival, check client in and welcome them for their service;
  • Provide client with intake form and once filled out, escort the client to the spa changing room, whereupon the Spa Attendant will provide a light tour, showcasing the amenities available to the client;
  • Escort client back to the spa lounge for and provide foot soak treatment for all massage and applicable facial treatments.

 

Behind the scenes:

  • Prepare all footbaths prior to pre-treatment foot service;
  • Clean and sanitize all footbaths after use;
  • Pick up all dirty cups and dishes, refresh beverage bar, discard apple cores, napkins and straws;
  • Maintain care of beverage bar, ensure that all items are constantly restocked, refilled and that the area remains clean;
  • Fluff all pillows in spa lounge;
  • Maintain cleanliness of Swiss Showers, showers and vanity area;
  • Maintain Vanity table stock, ensuring all personal care items are present, clean and full;
  • Ensure overall cleanliness of bathroom stalls, checking inventory of all paper products on a very regular basis, and restocking when needed;
  • Collect dirty laundry from all bins;
  • Change garbage throughout the day;
  • Load and unload dishwasher of china and glassware, re-stock for re-use;
  • Ensure that all clean linen is presentable, folded and in good condition to be placed back on the floor for client and therapist use.

  • Ability to assess usage and maintain spa equipment.

 

Work Experience:

  • Previous hotel, hospitality or concierge experience a plus

The first Gene Juarez Salon was opened in downtown Seattle in 1971. As Seattle's first contemporary fashion salon, the company introduced Seattle customers to best in class service, artistry and innovative European haircutting techniques. A few years later, in 1974, the second Gene Juarez Salon location opened inside the original downtown Seattle Nordstrom on Fifth Avenue, offering a connection to fashion and world-class service to our clients.
Since then, through our commitment and dedication to our clients, artistry and innovative education, Gene Juarez Salons & Spas has grown to 10 salon & spa locations and two cosmetology schools. Since day one, Gene Juarez Salons & Spas has been locally owned and operated in the Pacific Northwest.
