Reporting to the General Manager of the salon, the Experienced Hair Colorist contributes to the overall success of the company by sharing their exceptional technical and styling skills with our clients. The ideal candidate is hardworking, service- minded, engaging, informational and inspirational while being a dynamic entrepreneur committed to increasing sales volume and exceeding clients’ needs.


-Provide outstanding and current technical hair services, including, but not limited to: straightening, coloring, balayage and foiling.

-Help each customer look and feel their best;

-Cross-sell across all brands and beauty categories, i.e. makeup, skin care, hair, etc;

-Achieve personal and company sales goals;

-Build lasting relationships with customers by contacting them to follow up on purchases along with up-selling, and letting them know about upcoming events;

-Maintain and educate on product knowledge and reinforce proper application techniques to act as an expert for each customer;

-Maintain the cleanliness of the dispensary area;

-Provide a positive, luxury experience for all clients;

-Demonstrate confidence, competence and professionalism;

-Assist in supporting salon operations such as front desk, dispensary or spa support when necessary;

-Attend education seminars, classes and virtual training;

-Adhere to compliance regulations for all federal and state guidelines related to professional licensing practices and procedures.


-Several years’ experience in a luxury salon setting as a technical hairdresser as defined above;

-Commitment to providing outstanding client service;

-Passion for continuous learning and improvement, evidenced in attendance in trainings, classes and celebrations;

-Genuine interest and excitement in the beauty industry;

-A valid Washington state cosmetology license.

  • A valid Washington state Cosmetology license;

More about Gene Juarez:

The first Gene Juarez Salon was opened in downtown Seattle in 1971. As Seattle's first contemporary fashion salon, the company introduced Seattle customers to best in class service, artistry and innovative European haircutting techniques. A few years later, in 1974, the second Gene Juarez Salon location opened inside the original downtown Seattle Nordstrom on Fifth Avenue, offering a connection to fashion and world-class service to our clients.

Since then, through our commitment and dedication to our clients, artistry and innovative education, Gene Juarez Salons & Spas has grown to 10 salon & spa locations and two cosmetology schools. Since day one, Gene Juarez Salons & Spas has been locally owned and operated in the Pacific Northwest.
