Reporting to the Salon and Spa Floor Manager, the Skincare Therapist provides a “WOW” client service experience through the delivery of our custom skin care and waxing services, as well as educates clients on professional service and product recommendations.


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty (listed below) satisfactorily:

  •  Provide a positive, luxury experience for all clients;
  •  Perform skincare services following the “GJ Way” process;
  •  Demonstrate skill, competence and professionalism;
  •  Develop client relationships to retain and expand business;
  •  Meet or exceed set goals that include average ticket, pre-booking, product sales and retention;
  •  Increase occupancy through consistent delivery of service and product knowledge;
  •  Assist in supporting salon operations such as front desk, dispensary or spa support when necessary;
  •  Participate in spa activities including staff meetings, promotions and training;
  •  Support and participate in growth of Membership Program;
  •  Adhere to compliance regulations for all Federal and State guidelines related to professional licensing, practices and procedures;
  • Maintain cleanliness standards.

  • Technical college or certificate degree and state esthetician license;
  • One to six months related experience and/or training;
  • Frequent face-to-face interaction with clients, vendors, and/or management. Ability to answer routine questions and resolve straightforward issues;
  • Basic operating knowledge of computers, including beginning level ability with the Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate phones, computers, and other salon equipment.


As part of our standard hiring process for new employees, employment with Gene Juarez Salons and Spas will be contingent upon successful completion of a background check.

The first Gene Juarez Salon was opened by Gene Juarez in downtown Seattle in 1971. As Seattle's first contemporary fashion salon, Gene Juarez introduced Seattle women to best in class service, artistry, and innovative European haircutting techniques. A few years later, in 1974, the second Gene Juarez Salon location opened inside the original downtown Seattle Nordstrom on Fifth Avenue, offering a connection to fashion and world-class service to our clients.
Since then, through our commitment and dedication to our clients, artistry, and education, Gene Juarez Salons & Spas has grown to 10 salon and spa locations and two state-of-the-art cosmetology schools. Since day one, Gene Juarez Salons & Spas has been locally owned and operated in the Pacific Northwest.
