Responsibilities

Reporting to the Campus General Manager and Assistant Director of Enrollment, the Admissions Representative (field) contributes to the overall success of the company by developing strategic relationships with local high schools and surrounding communities in assigned area to raise awareness and generate interest in Gene Juarez Academies.

 

Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Promoting Gene Juarez Academies’ enrollment opportunities and programs to potential students in the surrounding communities, via phone calls, emails and face-to-face visits both on and off campus;
  • Generate leads to increase enrollment; 
  • Present and promote to a variety of audiences including prospective students regarding the value of a Gene Juarez Academy education
  • Make contact and develop relationships with High School counselors and administrators
  • Participate in a variety of projects and events related to student recruitment both on and off campus
  • "Owning" the student admissions process, including initial inquiries from parents;
  • Campus tours, and ensuring a “celebrity experience" for the enrolling family;
  • 20% of the time spent in Mountlake Terrace/Federal Way locations in admissions 
  • Other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate is confident, organized, professional and creative, as well as an adept problem-solver, who possesses the following qualities:

  • Minimum one year admissions experience required
  • Marketing and/or sales experience (preferred); 
  • High social skills, ability to speak in front of large groups
  • Patience and a problem-solving approach to issues;
  • Excellent organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills; 
  • A strong goal and results orientation; 
  • A high level of integrity and professionalism; 
  • Persuasive oral and advanced written communication skills; 
  • High customer service focus; 
  • Personal motivation and passion about achieving goals and deadlines; 
  • Reliable transportation with ability to travel up to 80% locally between campuses and for community events
  • Flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings and weekends
  • High school diploma or GED required

The first Gene Juarez Salon was opened in downtown Seattle in 1971. As Seattle's first contemporary fashion salon, the company introduced Seattle customers to best in class service, artistry and innovative European haircutting techniques. A few years later, in 1974, the second Gene Juarez Salon location opened inside the original downtown Seattle Nordstrom on Fifth Avenue, offering a connection to fashion and world-class service to our clients.
